Exercise Springhawk is annual overseas pre-season training carried out by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. The five-week exercise allows the team to perfect and polish its display in more settled weather. This year, the training is being carried out in Greece, with up to 15 shows flown every week. This display will be seen by millions of people across the UK and beyond during the season. Here, one of the team’s new pilots, Red 2, Flight Lieutenant Toby Keeley, takes us behind the scenes in Greece.
