As a flight attendant, I was VERY disappointed by my recent experience on Allegiant Airlines when I traveled with a broken ankle. I was 10 weeks post break, not on crutches, but still in a walking boot. The entire experience of airport navigation was challenging even with my frequent flying background. I was flying standby on an open flight. Ticket agents (not employed by Allegiant) were so helpful, but the flight attendants were not. I was an inconvenience and treated like I didn’t know how to fly.
The behavior of the in-flight staff was embarassing— especially when that airline was the place that changed my life for the better.
As Flight attendants, you are “the face of an airline.” It’s important to remember who and what you are representing and how you will be remembered. Treat everyone with kindness.
