This site is a celebration of aviation. From the early examples of powered flight to the Mach 2 aircraft of today, aviation has expanded in ways that the early pioneers could barely comprehend. If you’re involved in aviation in any way; recreation, employment, study, design, or just as an enthusiast then this site may contain something of interest.
Aviation – one word but such a large subject. From the private strips and grass airfields that are the home to microlights and lovingly restored classic aircraft, to the intercontinental airliners containing a full complement of air crew, cabin crew, and passengers. From the unmanned aerial vehicles (more commonly known as drones) that create wonderful videos of our planet’s surface to the commercial and military UAV that remain airborne for days at a time.
Let’s not forget aerospace. The pioneering astronauts aboard the Gemini, Apolllo, and Space Shuttle programs were often aviators before they became the first men and women to fly spacecraft.
Airline Pilots, Flight Attendants, Private Pilots
Our video collection includes those created by pilots and cabin crew who explain what aviation means to them from a personal perspective. They give a first person view of life in the air, the advantages and the disadvantages, the challenges and the lessons learned.
This site also contains videos that display the variety and complexity of aircraft, from the simplest gyrocopters to the most complex military aircraft, from vintage aircraft designed during the Golden Age of aviation to the electrically powered light aircraft of the 21st Century.
Civil, Commercial, and Business aviation would not be able to operate without the support of all those involved in the safe and secure operation of airfields and airports, from those operating dawn to dusk AFIS (Aerodrome Flight Information Service) at grass airfields to 24/7 Air Traffic Control teams who are critical for the safe running of the world’s busiest airports.
Aerobatics and Air Sports
Aerobatics is another popular subject for those who enjoy aviation videos. With digital cameras in fixed points around the aircraft the results can be as good as it gets without flying the aircraft yourself (and we recommend you try it at least once).
Then there are air sports of which there are many; unpowered flight in the form of wingsuits, parachuting, and paramotors, or how about single and two seat gyrocopters?
So whether it’s gliders or parachutes, fixed wing or rotary wing, microlight or spacecraft, we hope you will find something of interest in Love Aviation.
Man must rise above the Earth — to the top of the atmosphere and beyond — for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives.
